Upon my return from Cali in April, I'd mention to whoever would listen: "...petrol will cost $3 a gallon before summer is over, I'll bet you..." There were no takers, but many shook their heads and said, oh that wouldn't happen here.

I just bought my first $3 gallon. It's happened here. You could call it price gouging, and why not? We didn't need the Gulf Coast disaster, gasoline prices have been inching ever upwards all summer. The Gulf refineries make up 20% of our petroleum output. With the temporary shut off, prices will go up 20%, right? Try again, Sparky...All petroleum products will go up, and continue to go up, as the market will bear. And we do nothing.

Some smart sob in congress will cry foul, rattle his sword, by calling for an investigation into the sudden and dastardly increase in gasoline. Pols don't care if gasoline is $1.50 a gallon or $15 a gallon, it's all the same to them, it's on our dime. We know who to thank. Thank the Bush Regime. Thank Puppetmaster Dick, and his bed partners, the Saudi families.

I'm just sayin', we do nothing, and we're expected to take this in the shorts, and continue taking it in the shorts, because we do nothing. Now's the time for you and me to do something! Begin by boycotting the pumps. Do something to make a difference. Tune your engine, change the spark plugs, install a new air filter, do a tune-up. Increase the air pressure in your tyres. Decrease you speed driving. Try doing the speed limit. Boycott the pumps. Make them pump less gasoline. DO something. Start a revolution.
